Homeowners in Silver Spring, MD, needed to reconfigure their existing main level layout to create a more open-concept living space, improve flow between the kitchen, dining, and living areas, and update interior elements, requiring detailed plans and permit procurement.
KDP developed a strategic interior modification plan. After an as-built measurement and consultation, we explored options for non-load-bearing wall removal, doorway adjustments, and optimizing the existing footprint. The design focused on creating sightlines, improving natural light, and modernizing finishes. We provided detailed plans for the new layout, electrical and lighting updates, and all necessary construction documents. KDP also handled the permit procurement process with Montgomery County for the interior alterations.
